How to Fix Spotify Not Responding

Are you having a problem with Spotify Wrapped not showing on your iPhone or Android device? Here are the steps to fix it.

The Spotify Wrapped feature gives listening habits for songs, artists, and podcasts for the year. It usually shows up within a section from the home screen. Not everyone sees it, however—you’ll need to fix Spotify Wrapped not showing if that’s the case.

Sometimes there’s a problem with the Spotify service or an app issue that causes you not to see it. You can only see Spotify Wrapped on your mobile device and not from the desktop app.

Still, if you can’t access it on your phone, we’ll show you how to get it working so you know what you listen to most over the year.

Ensure Minimum Requirements for Spotify Wrapped

Before troubleshooting the app or service, you must ensure everything meets the minimum requirements. You need to have played 30 songs from five different artists for at least 30 seconds. You also need to be a Premium or registered free subscriber.

The app needs to be version 8.7.78 or higher on iOS or version 7.6 or above on Android. You can check by opening Spotify and selecting Settings > About.

The version will be listed in the top right corner of the screen.

Clear Spotify Cache on Android

Clearing the cache also improves app performance on Android.

To clear Spotify’s app cache:

  1. Launch the Spotify app on your phone or tablet.
  2. Open Settings > Apps > Spotify and select Storage from the menu.
  3. Tap the Clear Cache button on the following screen.Spotify Wrapped Not Showing

Update Your Android Device

If you are running Android Nougat (7.6) or below, Spotify Wrapped won’t work, so you’ll need to update your system’s OS to access the Spotify feature. Even if you’re running a modern version of Android, a system update can fix Spotify Wrapped not showing.

You can update Android by going to Settings > Software Update > Download and Install and grabbing the latest available system update.

Log Out and Log Back into Your Spotify Account

Another reason you can’t find the Wrapped feature could be due to a problem with your current session. Logging out and back into your account can resolve the issue.

To relog into your Spotify account:

  1. Launch Spotify on your device and tap the gear icon in the top right corner.Spotify Wrapped Not Showing
  2. On the Settings screen, scroll down to the bottom and tap the Log Out button.
  3. Log back into your account and see if you can access your Wrapped list of most listened-to songs, artists, and playlists.

Reinstall Spotify on Your Phone or Tablet

If you still can’t find Spotify Wrapped on your device, there could be an issue with the app itself. To fix the problem with core Spotify app files, you’ll need to reinstall it.

The good news here is that you don’t need to worry about losing your playlists or liked songs since the app syncs your data with your online Spotify account.

The process to uninstall Spotify varies slightly between platforms and devices. Still, the main idea is to long-press the Spotify app icon on your home screen or from Search, select Uninstall, and follow the onscreen prompts.
