How to Change Your Discord Password on Desktop

If you’re using Discord on a PC or Mac, you can change your password through the user settings. Make sure you replace your password with something new and not just your old password with a few extra characters.

The best way to use and keep track of strong passwords is to use a password manager.

To change your Discord password on a PC or Mac:

1. Open Discord.
2. Click the User Settings icon to the right of your username.
   
3. Select My Account from the left-hand menu.
   
4. Under Password and Authentication click Change Password.

6. Enter your new password.
   
7. Confirm your new password by entering it again, then click Done.

How to Change Your Discord Password on Mobile

If you’re on your mobile, you can change your Discord password using the Account settings menu.

To change your Discord password on mobile:

1. Open the Discord app.
2. Tap your Profile icon at the bottom of the screen.
   
3. Select Account.
   
4. Tap Password.
   
5. Enter your current password.
   
6. Enter your new password.
   
7. Tap Change Password.
   
8. Your password is now updated. You should receive an email confirming your change.

How to Reset Your Discord Password on a PC or Mac

How to Reset Your Discord Password on Mobile

If you’re using the Discord mobile app, you can also reset your password in a similar method.

1. Launch the Discord app.
2. Tap Log In.
   
3. Enter your email address and tap Forgot Your Password?
