Disney Plus to Air ‘Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian’ Series

One of the undeniable hit shows on Disney Plus is The Mandalorian. Now, the creators are taking you behind the scenes for never before seen extra footage.

One of the most popular original series on Disney Plus or (Disney+) is The Mandalorian. And now it’s set to air an eight-part documentary on the making of the show. The series is set to air on Monday, May 4th.

Disney Gallery Star Wars: The Mandalorian

This new series will give you an exclusive behind the scenes look at how The Mandalorian series is created. Think of it as getting “extras” like behind the scenes footage and more that you get on DVD or Blu Ray’s or iTunes Extras when purchasing movies from iTunes or other streaming services.

In a statement the company says the following:

In “Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian,” Executive Producer Jon Favreau invites the cast and crew to share an unprecedented look at the making of the series which quickly became a pop culture phenomenon after premiering in November. Debuting on the day that a worldwide community of fans celebrate all-things-Star Wars — Monday, May 4 — “Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian” is an eight-episode documentary series that pulls back the curtain on the first season of “The Mandalorian.” Each chapter explores a different facet of the first live-action Star Wars television show through interviews, never-before-seen footage, and roundtable conversations hosted by Favreau.

Following the show’s premiere, you can expect a new episode to stream every Friday on Disney Plus.

The service streams in resolutions up to 4K Ultra HD in Dolby Vision and HDR 10. Where available, it also supports Dolby Atmos sound. It is just $7.99/month or $79.99/year. Or, you can get the Disney Plus bundle that includes Hulu (With Ads) and ESPN+ for $13.99/month. Or, you can grab the new bundle that offers Disney Plus, Hulu (No Ads), and ESPN+ for $19.99/month.

It’s also worth noting that if you are already a Hulu (No Ads) or Hulu Live subscriber, you can add the Disney+ bundle to your existing account.

Disney Plus is accessible on iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, Android mobile devices and Android TV, web browsers, and Amazon devices like Fire TV and Fire HD.
