Sometimes, you may delete a post you added to your timeline but want to get it back. And if that happens to your Facebook posts, you need to know the steps to take to recover deleted posts on Facebook.

When you delete a Facebook post by mistake or need to recover one you deleted intentionally, the social platform allows you to recover it from the trash. Maybe you deleted a video, some photos, or another type of post that you want to get back. If you accidentally delete a post, you don’t need to worry about recreating it if it was deleted within 30 days.

So, in this guide, we’ll show you how to recover posts you’ve deleted on Facebook from your mobile device or computer.

Recover Facebook Post Guidelines

It’s important to note that when it comes to recovering Facebook posts, there are a few things to consider. When you delete a post, it is moved to the trash, where it resides for 30 days. Once the 30-day period concludes, Facebook will permanently delete the post from your profile, and there’s no way to get it back.

Recover Deleted Posts on Facebook on Mobile

The option to recover deleted Facebook posts from your iPhone, iPad, or Android device is straightforward using the following steps.

1. Launch the Facebook app on your phone or tablet.
2. Select the Menu button in the lower right corner of the screen.
3. Tap your profile name from the top of the menu.
4. Tap the three-dot button next to the Edit profile button on your profile page.
5. Select Archive from the Profile settings menu.
6. Tap the Trash button at the top of the Archive screen.
7. Select the post(s) you want to recover and put back on your timeline.
8. Once you’ve chosen your deleted post(s), tap the Restore button at the bottom of the screen.
9. Tap Restore when the verification message appears.

Restore Deleted Facebook Posts from Your Computer

If you are at your desk or prefer to use your computer, you can restore deleted Facebook posts on a Mac or PC using the following steps.

1. Launch a browser, go to Facebook, and sign into your account if you aren’t already.
2. Select your profile icon in the top right corner of the page and select your account name.
3. Click the three-dot button on your profile page and select Archive from the menu that appears.
4. Click Trash from the column on the left side of the page.
5. Select the post(s) you want to undelete and click the Restore button.
6. Click the Restore button when the verification message appears on the screen.

Recovering Deleted Facebook Posts

You can recover your deleted Facebook posts on a computer or your phone using the above steps. Once you follow the instructions, the posts will be restored to your timeline and be visible to friends and other contacts.

Again, it’s important to remember that you can only recover deleted posts within 30 days. After that, your deleted posts are completely deleted by Facebook and are unrecoverable.
